XP Professional Domain Change

HAve a question, rather a problem. Have a computer running XP Pro, and the Domain and workgroup is grayed out and cannot be changed, I can change it using “Setup a home or small business network: in the network properties. But will not change or logon a domain. I beleive it was a setup issue. But just short of reloading XP. Help????
