xp profile not accessible

Wanted to backup info from a slave drive but the profile i need to backup had a password on.How do one get around it because it say’s not accessible but i can open the others which had no password on them.

I imagine you have tried it already, but the machine admin account should be able to open anything on the machine. If you still can’t get in, you can look into re-setting security using this admin account.

Hi

As above – the Administrator account should have access to all user profiles in Documents and Settings. However, if you have reinstalled, then you (Administrator) will need to take ownership of the folders in the profile then add the Administrator account to the security.
