XP SP1 and msjava.dll

By jimrinflorida ·
Is there a way to install the msjava.dll program into XP SP1? I need it to run an older version of Quickbooks Pro. I believe it is included in the original Windows XP but not SP1. Is there a place you can download Microsoft's version to install into SP1. I have already installed Java from Sun's website but it didn't fix my problem because it is not msjava.

I just checked, you can still download JAVA VM from Microsoft.

Use the Windows Update page:

Select Windows XP RTM as the Operating System.

The title is:
816093: Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM)

Follow the directions at http://www.quickbooks.com/support/faqs/qbw2001/200639.html Do not deviate and do a general search. Expand each folder into the file is found.
This may work for other versions of Quickbooks before 2001.

The installation file is on the quickbooks cd-rom. Here is a link from the quickbooks website for instructions on how to install msjava. http://www.quickbooks.com/support/faqs/qbw2001/200639.html
