I am running Windows XP with sp2 installed. The hardware manager shows several com ports with the (in use) tag along side.
I don’t have any software running that would use these ports such as hyper-terminal or tera term nor any external devices attached to the real or virtual ports. Is there a way to release these ports when not in use? They don’t seem to function when I attach my radio gear to these ports.
