By simonsevenn ·
Ever since installing XP SP2 i keep getting these memory could not be read errors on explorer.exe - has anyone else come across this?

Application popup: Explorer.EXE - Application Error : The instruction at "0x73e6827a" referenced memory at "0x04b606bc". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

The file could be corrupted, or you could have a failing memory module, those are the first things I would look into.

The error message that you're receiving is telling you that you have a corrupt registry. Try some of the free registry applications and see if they can fix the problem.
