XP startup problems

By Giles_boy989 ·
My XP is stuffed. I get an error message when I start up XP.
it is:
Stop: C0000221 (Bad image checksum)
The image OLE32.DLL is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

So you see, it won't start. PLEASE HELP!!!

XP Startup Problems

Have you tried to start in Safe Mode to see if it will boot. If you can get a copy of OLE32.DLL and replace it. Also try to copy it out and back again to correct the Checksum Problem.

Yeah, i did try safe mode but the same thing happened. Thanks for your help, but what i did was this:
1: I installed win95, as my XP disk wasn't a startup disk, so I couldn't install from dos.
2: I reinstalled XP over 95, and now every thing is working fine!!
thanks for the help tho :-)
