computer runs ok certain programs more and more cease to load
Dvd shrink wont load, photoshop cs will load etc
Installed nortons, win32 virus not detected
Uninstalled nortons
Install nod virus detection trial
Win32 virus detecded
Nod cant seem to get rid of it
Downloaded from web fix for win 32 virus-did everything it asks
Restart computer-cant tell if win 32 virus gone or not?
Nod complains ?somefile missing
Nod repair overinstall doesn?t fix nod
Computer is normal as always
Uninstall nod
On restart of computer
Xp wont boot
Will boot from linux dvd but does not detect raid hard drive config
Will boot from xp disc to recovery screen, but cant seem to get
anything to work
Have tried moving ram to anotherv slot
Swopped graphics card with aother with no different effect
Have disconnected perephirals dvd x2 soundblaster audigy card, 3.5
floppy, no modem in this machine
Pentium 4 2,0 ghz
2x80gb hard drive raid config
(raid 2 + 0 stripe config)
512mb ram
nvidia geforce 4 ti4200
normal screen load chronology
via chip set
graphics card 128mb ram confirms
set up to go to safe mode
(no modes affect boot)
xp screen starts loading
screen goes blank then momentarily restarts over and over
wont boot
