Xwindow problem-Sony Laptop PCG-F340

I have installed Redhat 7.2 on my Sony laptop with windows 98 everything works except for Xwindows. When I enter startx I get an error. I have I touch pad for a pointing device and I even tryed a external ps2 mouse. Below is the last part of my log:

(II) NEOMAGIC(0): Not programming shadow registers
I think the problem is the mouse?

Try seting your mouse as: /dev/psaux.

Also take a look at this link.
