This PC has been giving problems for about 6 months where it has for no reason has been going black screen.
The problem has been getting worse, so a member of staff fragmented and then it was decided to re-formated the system and re-install of SP2.
The Machine gets to the end of the re-installation and the system again goes black screen and hangs.
The installation never quite completes the installation.
The system is about 9 months old
The Bios did not require upgrading
the PC is spotless inside (so no dust problems)
The system consists of;
Motherboard Asus P5V-VM DH
Pentium D 2.66 GHz processor
the usual DVD /RW
a second graphics card doing nothing????
a SATA hard disc
The system has not been over clocked, it appears to be reading the HDD, Ram seems ok, PSU I feel is unlikely to be the problem
Anyone want to guess at this one?
