“You have reached your maximum message level.”

Then why am I not “allowed”/”supposed” to read the comments? The way I reached that inane message was by opening each comment in turn. Most of the time I’m too tired to even go that far. I guess as a reader of whatever article I’m not supposed to be interested in what anybody besides the author has to say?
