You know...

This new TR is what we've got. Let's make the best of it. WE haven't even seriously tried to break it like we did the last go 'round. That was fun.

For me, TR works. I don't like change anymore than the other guy but let's quit the moaning and complaining and just get on with business. I used to be one of the biggest crybabies, I liked the way it was in 2005. No going back there.

One of the biggest nuisances has said farewell or so he says. This will be a better site for it, you ask me. One down, one or two to go and I don't care what anyone thinks of that.

These are just my thoughts. Agree/disagree, it's likely not to change my mind.

Except about the "nuisance" part.

I like my nuisances visible, up front, and accounted for, so I can see what they're about. You know: the thing about keeping "enemies" close.

That's what my nuisance value is about. Present, accounted for, and in your face.

I acknowledge your thoughts.

I agree about what we can do, take it or leave it, the latter is not first on my list.
About nuisances, I wouldn't want to be rid of any of the regular "layman contributors" here, even the ones I have little use for directly, help in raising the activity level.

These enzymes here, they need a certain working temperature, and every activity helps towards achieving that temperature.

Also, I've recently seen first hand what happens when only participants that agree are allowed - that kind of mental detritus is not something I'd want happen to myself.

If we stop complaining, they won't fix the bugs

by AV . In reply to You know...

I don't care about the esthetics of the site, but I don't like the bugs that I encounter every time I'm on here and the lack of functionality in areas like "my stuff".

As with any upgrade, there are always problems to work out. If we don't voice our concerns, they will think everything is AOK, and it isn't. We're the ones that use the site and we are vetting it for them. They might not be aware of a lot of the problems. I think its important to keep communicating the issues we have with site usability so they can address them.

The PTB's should be interested in what we have to say instead of pretending that its all good. The site usability affects not only us regular folks, but also anyone else that might want to participate in the forums.

Ron, until I upgraded my browser from IE7 to IE8, I couldn't even post a new discussion. The buttons didn't work. There are alot of people out there that don't have IE8 and the bottomline is that they wouldn't be able to post. I think TR should know about that issue and I've told them through some of those moaning and complaining posts. I'd love it if they'd put back the feedback button and have someone look at the replies and work through the problems. They should be happy that we are willing to do it.

I don't like to see anyone leave TR and usually they don't leave for long. The mix of personalities is what makes it.

That's okay, I've come to enjoy it. Just so long as you don't feel cheap.
