We use zenworks to manage our workstations. I installed “client software” on a windows 2000 workstation to connect to a web server (self service application) I logged as administrator on the workstation and logged into the novell network as myself. I was able to run the client connecting to the web server. I logged in as the user that will be using the app and received error messages and could not run the software. The oracle database engine is also installed during installation. We I installed the software the registry was being updated.
The user that uses this workstation is a dynamic user (created by zenworks and workstation manager). There’s a policy package associated with this user that prohibits editing of the registry. Could thisbe the prob. I thought that once something is written in the registry all users have access. Is there a registry for every user. I am new to how window 2000 and user accounts work.
