Photos: Dot-com watcher Kaplan out as CEO

  • Philip Kaplan

F***edCompany.com founder Philip Kaplan, who became a spokesperson for disaffected dot-com workers in 2000, is stepping aside as CEO at AdBrite but will stay on to take charge of the company’s products. The bleached hair and concert T-shirts are gone, but Kaplan still plays drums at work and often jams with employees.

  • Consistent with his reputation as the voice of dot-com workers, F***edCompany.com founder Kaplan works in a cubicle at AdBrite just like everyone else.

  • New AdBrite CEO Ignacio Fanlo has to get used to rock ‘n’ roll after taking the helm from founder Kaplan, the man who also founded dot-com dead pool site, F***edCompany.

  • Kaplan and Fanlo chat with AdBrite executive assistant Dayna Judkins in the company’s lobby. AdBrite has nearly doubled its staff in the last six months.
