Some of my recent endeavors have required me to spend an\r\ninsane amount of time studying for exams. There has been a lot of pressure to\r\nlearn vast quantities of difficult information as quickly as possible.\r\nThankfully, a number of apps have helped me in the study process. This article\r\nlists five general purpose study apps that are useful for anything from\r\nstudying for hard core science exams, to IT certifications.

This software not only allows you to create exams, but also\r\nto quiz yourself using the questions that you have created. Knightlite\r\nTestMaker sells for $49.95, but a free trial version is available for download.
CueCard\r\nis another free app for creating electronic flashcards. Although CueCard is a\r\nsomewhat lightweight tool, it does allow you to incorporate pictures and sounds\r\ninto your flashcards.
CueCard also enables the printing of single-sided cards,\r\ndouble-sided cards, and study sheets.
StudyMinder\r\nHomework System is completely different from the other apps on this list.\r\nWhile the other apps are geared toward the act of studying, StudyMinder is\r\ndesigned to help you stay on track with your studies. Think of it as a project\r\nmanagement tool for students.
On the surface, StudyMinder looks like a calendar app (and\r\nit is). But the app contains a number of useful features that would never exist\r\nin a generic calendar application. For instance, it contains a study timer, a\r\nGPA calculator, and class and homework schedules.
StudyMinder Homework System sells for $29.95, but a free\r\ntrial is available for download.
Lucubee Study Assistant is\r\nan electronic flash card tool you can use in English or French mode. It enables\r\nyou to create or import questions in a manner similar to that of Anki.
Like some of the other electronic flash card apps, Lucubee\r\nsupports the use of pictures in addition to text.
