Samsung vs OnePlus- Who Has Better Software Support

Samsung and OnePlus are taking very different approaches to long-term Android support. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, while the OnePlus Nord 6 gets four Android OS updates and six years of security updates.

That difference could matter if you plan to keep your phone for five years or more—especially as OnePlus ends new product rollouts in North America and Europe.
