i was using this site and tabbed out using upper right corner x;what appeared next was here was this ad that was off-centre on the screen;try as i did; i was unable to move screen to the left which would have enabled me to tab out.i have experienced this same type of behaviour many times with different ads that appear on the screen.i found the properties of the ad by right clicking the ad-screen .i read gif-image and hyper text transfer protocol. is there a fix for this type of annoyance. thanks jerry

Unfortunatly this is the intended behavior of a lot of newer adds. There are no controls or title bar so the only way to close them is to press alt+f4.

The functionality that makes web pages so rich are also being used by pushy in your face people trying to drum up business for their worthless products. You have two choices, either boycott the sites that allow these ads or disable the functions within IE. To be completely free of these intolerances you will need to install a popup stopper software and disable java scripts in ie.
For myself, I personally use the OPERA browser with built in popup stopper support and an easy quick preference menu list which allows me to control the java scripting without navigating through an options menu.

http header request format

by ponnam86 In reply to gif image / hypertext tr ...

Hi all,

i am using the following http header request format to make use of a http server which runs on ipv4 address.

"GET /"+myFileToDownLoad+" HTTP/1.1\r\n"+
"Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, application/x-shockwave-flash, */*\r\n"
+"Referer: http://"+myDstIp+"/\r\n"
+"Accept-Language: he\r\n"
+"Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate\r\n"
+"User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)\r\n"
//+"Host: "+myDstIp+"\r\n"
+"Host: "+((myHost==null)?myDstIp:myHost)+"\r\n"
+"Connection: Close\r\n\r\n";

Now,i want to use a ipv6 configured http server instead of ipv4 server.So,is there any need to change the request header format.?
If so,can you please send the change need to be in the request?

It is so urgent for me.
Thanks in advance.
Ramulu Ponnam.
