Good Evening,
I have recently been handed a new server running Windows 2003 R2. We currently run Windows NT 4.0 SP2 as the PDC…call it CPS Domain. Now they want me to add a new Domain (CPS2007) which will be controlled by the new server. Set up a trust between the 2 domains. They will not currently upgrade the NT domain because it controls 80 production machines with no people(Users) and 20 machines with people(Users). I want to be able to have the new server handle the DHCP to the people users and keep the 80 machines DHCP handled by the old NT server. Is this possible? The NT domain is on 192.168.0.1 and the new Server will be 192.168.1.1 How do I have both these DHCP servers on the same wired network without causing conflicts?
