hello ppl..
here’s my set up:
at my place i have:
1 pc with 2 lan cards
3 laptops with wireless cards
1 DL-524 wireless router with 4 LAN ports and 1 WAN port
2 internet connections:
1 is an adsl bbroadband connection with its ‘modem’ connected to the WAN port of the wireless router being used to access internet from the laptops
1 ‘in2pc’ connection that is connected directly in2 1 of the LAN cards of the PC
the problem is that in this setup my PC is isolated. i.e. i cant share all the data on my pc’s hard disk with the laptops which is a major setback as all my major chunk of data is on my pc..
i was thinking of connecting a cat5 cable from the othr lan card on the pc to 1 of the lan ports on the wireless router..
but i hv no idea of the consequences.. because then internet will be accessible thru both the lan cards and i dnt knw hw the system will kno which connection 2 use.. whch is an imp factor cz the in2pc connction is 10 times faster dan d broadband
the end result i want is that iinternet shud run on eth0 via in2pc n my hd cud b shared on via lan on eth1..
is it possible? cn u hlp?
tx in advance..
