2003 Group policy to ban internet use

    Locked

    Hi

I have been trying to find a group policy setting that will ban a group of users from using the internet.

I have only a limited knowledge of policy settings so it would take me a very long time to find the correct one.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Iexplore.exe using Gproup Policy this way:

      Open gpedit.msc

Scroll to the user configuration\system folder. In the root directory of System is an option for ‘Don’t run specified Windows applications’. There you can add the executable iexplore.exe to block the ability to run Internet Explorer. Keep in mind, this will not stop browsing from other browsers (such as Firefox or mozilla).
