2009 NORTON ANTI-VIRUS PROBLEMS

by clwyattjr . Updated 16 years, 5 months ago

I run a small computer repair shop. Last week, my Norton Ant-virus 2008 subscription was ending and so I installed the 2009 version. After a couple of hours, my internal network began having connection problems with customer machines I was trying to connect to our file server to copy data before a reload. The message was “..the server storage memory is not sufficient to process the command” I tried the MS fix on the IPStack with severa options all to no avail. Only uninstalling Norton worked. I contacted Symantec and they worked for 4 hours on my system and they came to the same conclusion. Now, I am working on 2008 and Symantec Keeps telling me they are workin on the issue and will call me in 24-48 hours. It has been a week and no help. For those choosing Norton, you may want to consider this issue before installing. Anyone else having this problem? Has anyone gotten an answer?
