3G Vs. Low Orbiting Sallites

by dr. al olaimi . Updated 22 years, 2 months ago

I am looking for some proof for the argument that having a low orbiting satellite is less costly than having to set a complete ground based stations for the purpose of covering a vast geographical area when it comes to implementing UMTS (a.k.a 3G) network/service.

Any lead or openion would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
