64 Bit Server & 32 Bit Clients : COMPATABILITY?

By lindley ·
Hi guys and gals.

question:

our company is thinking of deploying MS Small Business Server 2008 Premium Edition 64bit,
however, our existing netowrk consists of XP Pro Clients.

1. Will our existing XP Pro 32bit clients be able to join a the domain of the 64bit server?

2. Will the clients be able to use MS Exchange with their existing outlook 2003 client software?

3. What about printing, file sharing etc.

I hope my questions makes sense!

Thank You I.T Pros

Peace

Server Vs Client

There is no issue connecting to 64-bit Windows Server from 32-bit Windows Clients, or vice-versa for that matter. We have over 200 Wintel Servers with a mic ox x64 and x86, including Exchange 2007.

The only issue you may encounter is web development, if you do any of that. Your ASP.NET site has to be compiled for the right version.

Scott
