Hi, I'm a 19-year old student working on my college web project submission and I'm facing some problems in my web designing. The problems are basically centered around ASP and Microsoft Access, and I'm here looking for someone to help me out.

About ASP and Microsoft Access basically

For the first answer you should create a new ODBC data source from the control panel and then refer to that in your ASP. You'll need to create one on each machine you move your code to. Normally its creation is part of an installation routine. Make it a "system DSN" so that its always available.

For the second, I'm not quite sure which username/password combination you're talking about? You could implement you own SQL table based security and then you have complete control over the case etc. Maintain the authorisation in a cookie on the client PC and have it time out after a certain amount of time.
There are lots of options for this - this is just one of them...

For the third, take a look at the following site for ideas on this...

Hope these ideas help you. It was the most comprehensively *asked* question, I've ever seen on TechRepublic!
