Accessing MS Proxy Server accross domain

By tom_a_morris ·
I have 4 NT domains, with Proxy servers in 1 domain. What needs to be done to allow the other 3 domains to access the proxy server? I am thinking in terms of authentication, etc.

Also, if I add another proxy server to one of the NT domains, is it possible to allow 1 proxy server to act as a fail-over?

Thanks,

As long as there are trust relationships between all four domains you can configure the proxy servers (array?) with the appropriate ACLS for each domain group.

If you add a proxy to each domain you can use it as failover by creating an array orlook inot chaining the proxy servers.

DC1 is right on. It shouldn't matter that you're going across domains as long as they trust each other. Of course you need to complete the proxy settings for each client to point to your proxy server as well as port 80. The domain trusts will be key to whether or not it works for you. Make sure clients on other domains can map to your proxy server. If they can you should be all set.
