Accessing offline files

By phamous ·
From a Windows XP box, I can synchronize files from a Windows 2003 server to my desktop. Initially, this works. When I try to access the files after a few hours, access is denied and I can't get access to them on the server as well. The temporary solution to this is to go to the server and reset my computer account from Users & Computers.

Any ideas? Thanks.

You should not have to reset your computer account in Users and Computers. This would make it appear that the secure RPC connection password is having an issue.

Use the NETADOM tool to reset that password.

WOuld it be easier just to uncheck the "make avialable offline" option, and attempt to view the folder?

Are you able to access the folder when it is on the server?

Sometime, it can simplily means the folders rights have been tampled with.
