In SQL 2000 we used to be able to switch on ad hoc updates to system catalogues in server properties. I use this quite often to update user SID’s in sysusers when we restore customer databases to our servers. How is this done in SQL 2005 as there appears to be no flag in server properties to allow direct updates to system catalogues
