I have an ad hoc network using Actiontec usb devices on my desktop PCs, and this Atmel PCMCIA 502A-D Fast VNET on my laptop. All the computers are running WinXP, SP1. I have configured everything I know to configure, I have a functioning network that I can browse no problem on my Desktop PCs. However, the laptop can only see itself (in My Network Places) – the desktops can see the laptop (again in MNP) but thay cannot browse it. I have configured shares on the laptop, and also configured the Norton firewalls on each machine, but no joy! I repeat, the desktop PCs can see the laptop in the workgroup, but access is denied & the laptop can only see itself in the workgroup. Any help is most appreciated.
