Additional Domain Controller Failover

hi,

I am job to test the fail over mechanism on Domain controller. Ihave windows 2003 Server R2
installaed on Primary and Additional DC's

Currently we have Domain controller & Addition al domain controller in place, but if suppose DC fail tomorrow morning what are the next steps ?

I want to have the complete automation fail over mechanism of domain controllers.
i have tested some options but it is not fully up & running,

DFS is not Accessible ?

please guide me how to set up ADC in such a way that complete automated.

what's running on the Domain Controller besides

simply being a domain controller?

that also has to be configured on additional servers besides the basic global catalog role and netlogon and sysvol folders.
