Synchronization

by jneisess In reply to adjust time in windows XP

Your PC may be set to synchronize it's time through the Internet. Check to see if this is enabled by clicking on the "Internet Time" tab, and try disabling it to see if it helps. You should also check the time set in the BIOS to make sure it's correct as well.

Domain?

by ctrservices In reply to adjust time in windows XP

Is your PC a member of a domain? If so, the tab will not appear. Here is the link http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=289689

Also, check your BIOS setup to see if it has the correct time.

BTW, how old is the PC? Maybe a new CMOS battery is in order.

My domain server time is running 30mins faster than the current time so I change it to the current time. Does that help?
