I have an old server running win2k3 sp2. The problem is that I can’t change the proxy setting within IE8 while logged in as the default administrator. For some reason the proxy setting has wiped itself and whenever I try to input the proxy server address and port, pushing both apply and ok wont work at all so I have to cancel which is what I don’t want because no changes are made.
This has become a problem as I can’t access the internet while on the server, but all the clients internet settings are still correct and able to access the internet.
It may help to know that I had installed a second server a few months ago, but the server in question was working fine until last week.
Any help would greatly be appreciated as it’s driving my head in and I can’t do any work.
