Contact Sheet produces a series of thumbnail preview on a single sheet from the files in the selected folder.
Note:Make sure that the images are closed before applying the command
To use an automated command
Choose File>Automate, then choose any of the commands listed under it.
To display Actions Palette
Choose Window>Show Actions

Need 5.5?
the FASTER-HARDER-STRONGER- way would be to
<make sure youre photos are near the same ppi
<as your favorite techno track keeps thumpin through your player
-create a new document the image size you want your sheet *BUT* set your ppi tobe in some kind of proportional aspect ratio of it.
INSTANCE- you want 4 photos for an 8x10 contact sheet. Make it so youre background layer is 4 times the ppi of the photos or the other way around....what ever youre groove is.
>now they are already sized when you take the move tool and drag them onto your background-layer and you know what........
didnt lose quality either. Link them up or make an adjustment layer to 'optimize color, or whatever it is that you do to make them wonderful and flatten the image. Put some text on there to label 'em and pretend like youre still waiting for automate to select them, size them, paste them, in a 4x sequence, then not even flatten when its done for you. i am EIC.
