Does anyone know an alternative to exchange? I work for a company with less than 30 email accounts and can't justify paying all that cash on exchange. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Take a look at Kerio Mail http://www.kerio.com. Lots of bang for the buck. I just finished and install for a local library and they are very pleased with it. They are supporting 20 users on a PIII/733 w/ 512MB running Win2K3
You could try Mercury Mail transport. It's not the best but it is free. It only supports POP3 not IMAP. (Unless they've changed it recently) It used to be Novell only, but I think there is a Windows version now.
Try Mailenable http://www.mailenable.com. The standard version is free and would easily cope with what you require. The pro version can run anti spam and anti virus which is what we have here.
I was in the same boat as you with only 35 users, however I upgraded our server to Windows 2003 Small Business Server and it came with Exchange. Now I can manage exchange without paying the extra $6000.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
Alternative to Exchange?
Thanks!!
