I've used AVG

I've used AVG (by Grisoft) for SBS a few times in the past for clients.

It performed rock solid for the clients.

I can't say in honesty that it will be much more reliable than other products (having not used other products on SBS); but I can say that you will be getting a quality product.

Best of luck!

AVG works OK on SBS and doesn't have the overheads

That things like Symantec do. It's a Rock Solid performer and reasonable without dragging the system down whenever it's performing a routine scan.

While there are many different AV products that will run on SBS you can not say definitively that any one is better than another as there are different criteria involved with all software. Some Business use Symantec because of Complianceing issues that they have to work under. It r's not that it's any better it is just accepted by the Authority that issues the Complianceing Standards.

Check out AVG's website.

I was just looking at this last night as I am setting up a new W2K3 server for a client to replace their W2KPro workstation server. (10 connection limitation issues)

AVG has 2 network suites and a file server only edition.

Pricing is based on # of cennections.

If you need something for the workstations as well, the Network versioni (without the spam filter option) works out to the same price as just buying the same number of workstation clients.

Don't know if that matters to you but thought I would point it out.

Edited to add:

AVG file server editions can be downloaded and installed under a 30 day trial license. Just register to download nad get a Trial license in your email. You can then check it out and see if you are happy with it.
