Any views on current Video capture techn

By robinarm ·
I have recently been asked to identify a video capturing (hardware & software) solution for my manager. Our company provides training and intends to use the products to compile training packages as well as making our own advertising stuff. I simply don't have the time to plough through the magazines looking at reviews and could do with some non-biased advice from someone who actually uses this technology rather than someone who writes reviews for a living.

Personally, I like the products from Pinnacle Systems (www.pinnaclesys.com). They are more of a specialty components vendor as opposed to a turn-key VAR but their products, when installed in appropriate computers, work quite well to produce CD, DVDand videotape audiovisual materials.

I would reccomend broadway 2.0 system for video capturing from any different kind of source. It is econi\omical with the latest technology in hand. Although it cannot be comapred with Optibase system, well...the price difference is about...10x ??^_^

These are the system that i reccomend.

optibase - fusion
sigma design - realmagic video encoding (DVR)
broadway
MPEGator

it all depends on what kind of video extraction you needs..if you are looking for mpeg-1 you need not geta sophisticated system...however if you are looking for a high end video encoding system such as DVD-encoding and so on or so forth...then i would recomend the following products which have mentioned.

all the best and i hope that i have answered your question. f you have further qns..
feel free to mail me at cybera7@hotmail.com
