any way to backup server settings to transfer to new server?

By gerges_em ·
i just started at this job a week ago and one of their servers is going down in a hurry. i backed up all data on it but is there any way that i can backup things like settings and policies to transfer to new server? network is a mess but this is happening within a few days. (services, dhcp, terminal services settings and so on....)
Thanks in advanced. Gerges_em@yahoo.com

windows 2000 nt

by gerges_em In reply to yes

hi, thanks for the fast reply. its still unclear what they want to do excatly but here are my two options. 1- using windows 2000 serever NT. and stay with the same OS. 2- upgrading from 2000 server NT to server 2003 or 2008.
--either way i dont know how to keep all the settings the same untill i have time later on to figure how this whole network is working. and the hardware is not the same but thats only going to matter if im cloning which im not.

Thanks in advanced.

Dave
