The modem/nic card in my e500 recently quit so I replaced it with a new one. This is an internal card.
OS is Win 98.
The modem now works but the laptop doesn’t always see it on bootup. Usually if I wiggle the card just a little bit and reboot it will see it. Any ideas? Could this be a short in the system board?
