I started assembling 1 of 10 new ASUS P3V4X motherboards with a PIII/733 and 256M SRAM. System boots, executes post-BIOS, loads DOS from floppy, then halts, since the keyboard and mouse appear to be locked out. I have swapped keyboards and mice, and have noted the 3 green LEDs on the keyboard light up for a split second when unplugged/plugged in.
Without the keyboard I cannot change BIOS settings or finish formatting the hard disk and install Windows….as well as can’t debug the problem. Thanks for any assistance! Mike.
