I need a bit more info. Do you get any display on the monitor?

Does it do a memory check?

If you are getting a display and then only getting the beeps there is something wrong with the M'Board as it isn't POSTing.

I've left the obvious alone like the keyboard being faulty or disconected.

Do you get a light on on the Keyboard when you power up?

3 beeps means memory error.
Mix of different speed (100 vs 133), or defective memory, but memory error.

Follow up to the question. There are three short beeps and the monitor doesn't display. Keyboard is o.k. Video is onboard.

HI, Number 2 answer is correct. You have memory failure. Get another chip and put it in. Any chip of same for your pc will do like a 32 or 64 meg pc100.
