Authentication across different subnets, please help!

by kmyers . Updated 17 years, 1 month ago

I have computers that use an access db that was written in 2000 but of course all my computers are now using office 2k3. I didn’t upgrade to 2007 because of the problems that came with 2k3. My problem is that the computers that access the db from a different subnet can’t always authenticate properly. So I need help figuring this out. I’m not very knowledgeable in the area. I thought that maybe I would try to join the main campus domain remotely but that has not worked. I set the dns to the main campus dns server and enable netbios over tcip on the remote computers nic. My windows firewall is turned off but the main campus is behind a firewall.
Error received when attempting to join the domain.
