Auto deletion of old files Windows 2003

By DoubleShocker ·
Does anyone know of a simple way to automatically (scheduled?) delete old files within a given directory?

We record our call center agents' calls at a 20% rate, piling up huge files on the server month to month.

I've arbitrarily given the supervisors a 60 day window to perform their required work with these files. I'd like to have a program which will delete all files older than 60 days in that one folder.

I've found a few sites which tout software available for this purpose, and we may go down that route.... I believe there must be a way to perform this from 2003 automatically.

The name of the auto-delete software is Delenda. I'm going to try the trial version.

Am I ultimately looking for a script which can be run via scheduler on a regular basis?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Chris

The answer to your question is "yes", you should just be running a script.

I have the same issue here with payroll backups, and just have a scheduled task running a small VB script to delete old files.

Email me if you want a copy of the script.
