BaaN ERP requirement of Bandwidth

By msaid ·
We are currently implementing BaaN4 in our company. We would be connecting 10 clients to the main server hosting the BaaN application. What bandwidth would be required to give access to 10 concurrent users.

BaaN ERP requirement of Bandwidth

If you are talking about a LAN preferably you would want 100BT ethernet. If you are talking about connecting over the internet or WAN Link you would take your outlying 10 clients noting their connection speed to the internet or to your network. Add up the total Wan connection speeds for all 10 clients and that is what you would theoretically need to enable them all to connect at one time successfully. For instance, say they are all connected via a 128K Frame connection to your headquarters.Take 128k X 10. 1.2Mbps is about what you would need at your headquarters for bandwidth. About a T1 would work well for you in that case. Alot depends on if all clients will be hammering your Baan server at once. Hope that helps.
