We are experiencing a strange problem with Backup Exec. Last week it slowed down from an average throughput of 40 MB/Sec to 6 MB/sec. This has lengthened our backup time to 6x’s the normal amount. We have not installed any new programs on the server or the servers we backup. It starts out at normal speed, but by the second server it backs up the process has slowed down to about 6MB/sec. Then it will increase to about 20MB/sec and go back and forth. If anyone has any suggestions to check out, I’d appreciate it. We aren’t experiencing any other slowdowns over the network or with any of ther servers. Thanks for the help.
