Best configuration of DNS in Server 2008?

By info ·
We have a problem with 3 servers, they are totally unrelated to each other (different companies and locations), where nobody can access *.uk websites. Restarting the DNS services fixes this problem. It happens about once every 3 days to once a week, at different times of the day?
Thanks in advance.

DNS

I'm betting these three servers are configured to only use Root Hints, and don't have any forwarders configured.

I ran across this post elsewhere that looks to exactly address your issue:

If you can't get to this post from one of those servers because it won't resolve, configure the DNS server(s) of the appropriate ISP into the forwarders section of the DNS server properties.

Thank you very much!
