Best "No Frills" Email Server

By Mikebyrne000 ·
I'm looking into setting up a mail server but I'm a bit bogged down by the choice.

I'm looking for an inexpensive "No frills" option (i.e. no calender features etc)and was wondering what packages I should be looking at??

Look at Deep Ofix

http://deeproot.in/deepofix.

Its a complete OS and server install.

Supports pop3, imap, smtp, web mail interface, inline clam av, spam assasin etc.

Open source. Built on Debian. Only cost is the hardware (be selective and this is not an issue).

Not a lot of development atm, but slashdot has it still listed as stable and maintained.
Maynot be perfect, but its quick, easy, and relatively secure.
