Help requested please – Operating system Windows ME. On start up, but before Desktop reached I am getting “Error starting program – a required .DLL file, BINFO.DLL was not found”. When this is OK’d you go to Desktop and get error message “Vsmon has caused an error in KERNAL32.DLL. Vsmon will now close. If you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer”. If you close this my computer still functions. I have tried PowerQuest Second Chance back to before this happened, but it has not cured the problem. I have tried Windows Help, but I do not appear to have Windows Restore program included (I have a Tiny computer, so no help there!)
I have a System Restore Pack, but believe this means I will lose all my program updates, etc. – I do regularly backup my data. Tiny did not supply an actual Windows ME disk.
