Blinking green light on monitor

By mnan2004 ·
When I turn on my computer the led on the monitor continues to blink green like it is in standby. Any help would be much appreciated.

That means it is not receiving a signal from the video card. Check cables... if they are fine, re-seat your video card. If it still does not work, replace video card with a spare if possible.

Do you hear any beeps as well?

that can be caused either by video card, vga cable, or monitor itself try to check your video card and cable if it is not working try to use another monitor and see if the problem is vga card or monitor,

No there are no beeps becouse I have the speaker disconected. The video is onboard video. I have tried connecting a pci video card from another computer into the non working computer and the video still did not come on.
