Boot problem after P4 2.4 to 3.0 upgrade

By SFScott ·
I upgraded my processor today from Pentium 2.4 (not with 800 FSB) to Pentium 3.0c (with hyper-threading & 800 FSB. The first time my PC booted beautifully. When I was in Windows, there were some messages that software was being installed for my new hardware. Then it suggested I reboot. I did, and now everytime I boot, it stops at the point when the agp440.sys driver loads. Any thoughts??

It's your AGP drivers that are letting you down. Find the exact model and version of your mobo, goto the manufacturers website and hunt down up-to-date AGP bus drivers for your board. Good luck.
