Boot problems Asus A7v133c

By pgm554 ·
AMD XP2100+ installed .Booted once , set the CMOS, rebooted . Now it won't POST. It has no clear CMOS jumper . I am thinking of using hard dip switches on the MOBO to see if that fixes the problem. Anybody see this one before?
Everthing is new (mobo and cpu).

Yes this usally occurs when the bios settings are incorrect and then you reboot. Solution is to as you say clear the bios removing the battery and rebooting may reset, but if not ask a freind or someone to check the web for the board reset. it is usually a set of 3 pins one will be jumpered, when you find the reset set to either defaults in the bios first or performance settings also check the MBoard for required hard settings to accomodate the new chip it may as you say be hardware switches get data from web.
