Some computers are set for quick reboot and the floppy seek is turned off. You have to go into setup and change the settings so your floppy will be recognized at reboot. Some computers say fast reboot, turn that off. some computers say floppy seek, turn that on. (Just hit delete when tne reboot asks for it, to enter setup) Good Luck, Jesse

It's because your first boot is your CD ROM the your Hard Drive and Drive A May be the third boot.

You can change that in the CMOS, in old CMOS its in Boot Sequence Option.

Make your the Floopy drive as a First Boot.

After power on you can see on display which key you must press to enter in BIOS setup. Find the <boot sequence at startup> and follow recommendations from previous answer.

In BIOS load default settings and try again.
Or you have a hardware problem!

If you used the /s switch when you formated the hard drive, it is now a bootable drive.

Enter BIOS settings, and make sure that the floppy drive is set as the first boot device.

Then, you can either enable or disable the switch to try other boot devices.

If you want to boot from the CD, the CD needs to be listed prior to the hard drive.
