    booting up a scsi drive to recover data

    Ho do I bootup a scsi drive in windows server 2003 to acess the data in a hard drive where the os is not booting for bad sectors reasons

      Ad the SCSI Drive to the system and alter the Drive Identification

      To a Higher SCSI Address than the boot drive If you have no RAID Array working you should now show the Old SCSI in My computer listed so you don’t actually need to boot the Drive. Just attach it to a Running computer. and copy the Data from this drive to the Working System.

      Of course you may be required to run some utilities to mask any Bad Sectors depending where they are so that the drive is readable and if there is a Bad Sector in the Data Cluster any data that should be residing there will not be recoverable.
